December EnLIGHTenment
Enjoy the season, as you should
For 15 years I have written an email from December 1-24 and sent them free to friends, students, and family to bring a sense of joy and comfort to everyone and especially those who may find the holidays difficult. Here is one from last year to give you a taste of what I do. If you would like to be on my list, send me your email address if you’re a follower, or if you’re a subscriber, respond to this email and I will put you on my list! Happy Holidays!
Good Morning

A Gift for You
Give yourself a gift. Perhaps an afternoon of your favorite activities, book a retreat, buy yourself something you’ve always wanted. Treat yourself to something special because you deserve it!
This looks really sweet. A couple of pinecones, a bead garland, a pine bough and some sugar!
Joy, Magic & Gratitude
What made you smile today?
What beauty did you encounter today?
What gave you comfort today?
Sharing
Donating clothing is always a good idea. Make it great by purchasing new clothing, especially socks, which are needed at this time of year.

Among the black & bare trees
we shook the snow from the undergrowth
with frost-reddened fingers,
seeking the sharp-spiked holly,
bunches of laurel & ivy,
& cold clusters of moon-pale mistletoe.
With these, our sisters transformed
the familiar kitchen into
a grotto of shining leaves,
and enchanted bower
woven from twigs & branches
sprinkled with scarlet berries.

HI Martha, please put me on your email list.
This was such a cheery message, with wonderful reflections of the holiday.
I especially like the poem.
Perhaps share it in Notes?
