Good Morning Community of my Heart,
The world is blue at its edges and in its depths. This blue is the light that got lost. Light at the
blue end of the spectrum does not travel the whole distance from the sun to us . . . . This light
that does not touch us, does not travel the whole distance, the light that gets lost, gives us the
beauty of the world, so much of which is in the color blue.

What I’m listening to-a favorite:
What I am watching-the second season of The Four Seasons, on Netflix
What I am looking forward to-cooler weather this weekend
What brings me joy right now-gardening, with my hands in the soil
What I am making-hard choices about how much drama I will allow into my life
What I am reading-A Spell in the Wild by Alice Tarbuck-about using herbs in daily life
What I am learning-about herbal medicine in a wonderful course from Rosemay Gladstar
What I am remembering-how much I love spring in my garden

My writing teacher shared a new idea she heard while attending a retreat. I loved it so I’m sharing it with you. Very simple, choose three things you want to bring more of into your life. You can write them in a journal, or on a piece of paper on your desk, or a post-it on the bathroom mirror. You can consciously work to bring them into your life, of course, or you can use a manifestation practice to accomplish the same things. Perhaps you’ll just think about them for a while and soon you’ll notice more of it, or a greater appreciation for what is already there in your life. For homework this week, give it a try.
My three words are space, words, & blue. I want clear surfaces, less clutter taking up space, and a slower life. I want to write and read more, and I love blue, so if there’s a choice, I’m going to go for the blue one!
“We live on a planet where whales sing songs that travel for miles. Where trees can recognize their own offspring and protect them underground. Where dolphins give each other names and where lightning can create glass in the sand….Where horses can read human emotions.” Kate Agole
