What beautiful stories you’ve told about the women who’ve braided your life together. Different strands, but still, all one beautiful creation. We women forget sometimes the power and grace we carry. Thank you for sharing Martha.
I got an email with a longer comment from you and I wanted to say that I loved reading about your motherline. We are a repository for all those women upon whose shoulder we stand. All their joys, foibles, sadness, excitement and love. I love your story!
I decided to take it out and save as I work on telling that story, and so many more! Was happy to know you got to read the beginnings. I have some genealogy work to do...mysteries. But, as Beth Kephart does so wonderfully well in Tomorrow Will Bring.. , we can use what is known, the clues, our imagination, and create the story. Thankful for you both and all the inspiration!
So funny…..I have been a type A most of my life. Filled with exuberance as a little, I danced around my grandfather’s grave amidst my family’s mourning conversation. I am a Leo with Sag rising, lot of fire! I guess, to my aging grandmother I was a bit overwhelming. Not wanting to squelch my natural excitement she came up with a cute nickname. Love her to the moon for that!

Thank you! I love these old ladies…..and now I am one myself!
This gave me a moment to pause and think back to the ladies who were in my earlier life and what I took from each to make me who I am.
It’s an adventure, isn’t it? We carry their life experiences inside us, and they guide us on this earthly plain.
Love these snapshots of your women! Buzzbomb not a surprise 😁 Old soul you, too.
Am inspired to gather short memories of my line of women, starting now, such a good way to get at it. 💐
