When Intuition Speaks

I knew it would change my life; how I saw the sunrise and my dog’s smile, the way I witnessed the stars and combed my hair. Every moment up to the knowing was cut loose from my retrievable mind-bank, in limbo, suspended, the questions tumbling through my day-talk. Nothing to grab onto, nothing to hold in my hand, no steady routine to guide me through my day. Life slowed to nothingness, second-guessing the voice that announced my fate. It is true, I heard Her say.
And then…
Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge, said, “I believe in you. I believe in your power. I believe in your potential,” and there it is. She held my heart, illuminated the path before me, and I believed her.
“Walk Whitman’s voice was that of a hawk gliding endlessly over a growing city. Rainer Maria Rilke’s voice was that of a shaman draping a sacred hood over everything ordinary so he could watch it glow. And Emily Dickinson’s voice was that of a small bird perched on a window ledge between the body and the soul.” Mark Nepo
We believe science even when it’s proven wrong but disbelieve intuition even when it’s proven right. And I say, listen and the truth will rise. Intuition will never lie. I listened, I was overwhelmed, and then I gathered myself to myself and heard the truth.
How does intuition show up in your life? Do you recognize it? Do you discount it? Do you follow it? What happens when you don’t? Please tell me in the comments.
